The exhibition Portraying the Universe by Irina Gabiani at Nosbaum Reding I Projects is the development of the artist’s previous project entitled Minimal - Complexity, through which the artist reinterpreted in her personal way the language of Minimalism, by unveiling the complexity hidden in the apparently solid structures and lines, in light of her cosmological view of the Universe.

The main focus of this new exhibition, Portraying the Universe, is to unveil the complexity hidden in each and every human being. Within the outline of human portraits, Gabiani reveals landscapes, or images of the Universe, bringing us back to the key concept of her research which is the interconnections between the human beings and the Universe.

In this way, Irina Gabiani emphasises the fact that human beings are an inseparable part of the Universe and at the same time, the Universe lies within humankind. Understanding this strong interconnection is essential for us to change our approach to life and to behave in a responsible way. The understanding of this indivisible interconnection is key to a peaceful coexistence amongst human beings and with the Universe.

L'exposition "Portraying the Universe" d'Irina Gabiani chez Nosbaum Reding I Projects est le développement du projet précédent de l'artiste, intitulé "Minimal - Complexity", dans lequel elle réinterprétait le langage du minimalisme. Dans ce projet, Irina Gabiani a révélé la complexité cachée dans les structures du minimalisme et ses lignes à l’apparence solide, à la lumière de sa vision cosmologique de l'Univers.

Dans cette nouvelle exposition, "Portraying the Universe", son objectif est de dévoiler la complexité cachée dans chaque être humain. Dans les silhouettes des portraits humains, Gabiani révèle des paysages ou des images de l'Univers, nous ramenant au concept clé de sa recherche, à savoir les interconnexions entre les êtres humains et l'Univers lui-même.

Irina Gabiani souligne ainsi le fait que les êtres humains sont une partie indissociable de l'Univers et que l'Univers se trouve en chacune et chacun de nous tout à la fois. La compréhension de ce lien étroit nous est indispensable pour changer notre attitude face à la vie et nous comporter de manière responsable. Il s'agit là de la base d'une coexistence pacifique entre nous, les humains, et tout qui nous entoure, l'Univers.
